This candidate should have proven human resources skills and abilities, ability to work well across various levels of the organization, thrive in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
This role will report to the Human Resources Manager, supporting the day-to-day human resources operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate talent acquisition and talent management activities for hourly personnel (temporary services and direct hire personnel) for the pre-employment and on-boarding process.
Maintain and ensure accuracy of time and attendance records for all employees, including accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll.
Assist in planning, organizing and executing various activities (including fundraising) while working together with the Employee Social Committee Update various spreadsheets of information to support the HR and Operations departments Must demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and suggest ideas for improvement and increased efficiency Plan, organize and coordinate various projects, programs and committees related to employee relations, safety, internal communications, etc.
Support HR and local leadership in action planning related to employee engagement.
Maintain employee personnel records.
Maintain employee bulletin boards Ensure forms and documents are available for employees Process various employment actions in accordance with internal procedures.
Respond to day-to-day HR employee inquiries and request.
Build strong relationships with operations team, Union representatives and other business partners to deliver business objectives and resolve issues.
Foster an effective, inclusive work environment, effectively balancing employee advocacy with conservancy of company goals and values.
Ensure and enforce compliance with all applicable employment laws, company policies and collective bargaining agreement terms.
Prepare reports as assigned.
Perform other job related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field or related experience in lieu of degree.
HR Certification is preferred.
Minimum of 3
years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing and union environment.
Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations required Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (e.
g.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required Experience with SAP or like software for payroll and people data management preferred Experience with eTime/ADP for time management preferred Strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to build credibility with Associates on the shop floor.
Excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
Has the ability to work varied hours at times to support Operations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
